The real gathering of Israel.

The most important verse is 7 below. It says a lot about when the seed of Nephi, Jospeh in America, and Israel world wide, will begin to be gathered. 

It was not when the LDS Church was formed. It seems to speak more about the those seeds who joined the Church, and now realize who they are. It has begun when the Remnant realize who they are, and Christ begins to show them the way.

In my life it has come by Revelation; I have to think it is the only way. 

3 Nephi 21: 

1 And verily I say unto you, I give unto you a sign, that ye may know the time when these things shall be about to take place—that I shall gather in, from their long dispersion, my people, O house of Israel, and shall establish again among them my Zion;

2 And behold, this is the thing which I will give unto you for a sign—for verily I say unto you that when these things which I declare unto you, and which I shall declare unto you hereafter of myself, and by the power of the Holy Ghost which shall be given unto you of the Father, shall be made known unto the Gentiles that they may know concerning this people who are a remnant of the house of Jacob, and concerning this my people who shall be scattered by them;

3 Verily, verily, I say unto you, when these things shall be made known unto them of the Father, and shall come forth of the Father, from them unto you;

4 For it is wisdom in the Father that they should be established in this land, and be set up as a free people by the power of the Father, that these things might come forth from them unto a remnant of your seed, that the covenant of the Father may be fulfilled which he hath covenanted with his people, O house of Israel;

5 Therefore, when these works and the works which shall be wrought among you hereafter shall come forth from the Gentiles, unto your seed which shall dwindle in unbelief because of iniquity;

6 For thus it behooveth the Father that it should come forth from the Gentiles, that he may show forth his power unto the Gentiles, for this cause that the Gentiles, if they will not harden their hearts, that they may repent and come unto me and be baptized in my name and know of the true points of my doctrine, that they may be numbered among my people, O house of Israel;

7 And when these things come to pass that thy seed shall begin to know these things—it shall be a sign unto them, that they may know that the work of the Father hath already commenced unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the people who are of the house of Israel.

The Great and Spacious Building and the deception of Satan.

In life, we tend to seek that which is established and accepted, but do not realize that most often; those things are of men, not of God. Men of God, will teach repentance, and draw you to seek Christ. Those men not of God, will place themselves between you and God, and tell you, I am the way, follow me. We can see a simple example of the difference in:

 Book of Moses 4:  
1 And I, the Lord God, spake unto Moses, saying: That Satan, whom thou hast commanded in the name of mine Only Begotten, is the same which was from the beginning, and he came before me, saying—Behold, here am I, send me, I will be thy son, and I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost, and surely I will do it; wherefore give me thine honor.

 2 But, behold, my Beloved Son, which was my Beloved and Chosen from the beginning, said unto me—Father, thy will be done, and the glory be thine forever.

There is a reason why God has continued to warn us against following men, the arm of flesh, unless you feel the Holy Spirit when they speak.

It is of grave importance to understand what the Spacious Building is, as spoken of in 1 Nephi 8.  It is to some degree the entire World, Babylon, but it is everything that is not of God, including today, the LDS Church.

Sometime ago, while conversing with a friend about the Spacious Building and what it means. I had a mighty rush of the Spirit come upon me, and in an instant, my mind was enlightened, and I knew beyond a shadow of doubt, as is sometime phrased, who and what about what I was praying for.  I knew that the warning and messages of the Book of Mormon, was written for mainly those who would be reading them; the LDS Gentile Church and its members; as noted in the Book of Mormon.  

The only reference of such an experience in my mind, was the rush of the Spirit, as noted in the Bible, when the Apostles on the day of Pentecost, had a rush of the Spirit come upon them.  I knew, nothing doubting, that what I had seen and felt was true and what my course now must entail; to profess otherwise, I know it would put my soul and eternal salvation in jeopardy.

In 1 Nephi 8 below, the rod of iron is the personal word of God, personal revelation between you and God; scriptures are here to guide you to that point.  The great and spacious building is the LDS Church and all other churches that present false truths, to bind down and blind those seeking Christ.

Blinded by false truths; they learn to trust in men; not able to feel the Holy Ghost.  In verse 28, we see some who hear the truth, but for the want to belong and fear of being wrong, they submit to the common ground of the majority, thinking they are safe.  Then in verse 27, we see those who mock and make fun of those who are the true followers and sheep of Christ; feeling they are the chosen of God, and all is well in Zion;  but I have observed that might hardly ever means right; truth comes from the meek sheep of the world, not the wolves and bears.  

1 Nephi 8:
24 And it came to pass that I beheld others pressing forward, and they came forth and caught hold of the end of the rod of iron; and they did press forward through the mist of darkness, clinging to the rod of iron, even until they did come forth and partake of the fruit of the tree.

 25 And after they had partaken of the fruit of the tree they did cast their eyes about as if they were ashamed.

 26 And I also cast my eyes round about, and beheld, on the other side of the river of water, a great and spacious building; and it stood as it were in the air, high above the earth.

 27 And it was filled with people, both old and young, both male and female; and their manner of dress was exceedingly fine; and they were in the attitude of mocking and pointing their fingers towards those who had come at and were partaking of the fruit.

 28 And after they had tasted of the fruit they were ashamed, because of those that were scoffing at them; and they fell away into forbidden paths and were lost.
