WHAT IF;

What if the Mob who killed Joseph and Hyrum Smith; was in collusion with LDS Church Leaders who worked with Joseph and called him friend; but deceitfully had a knife to his back.  I have seen some historical records to this fact, but my main understanding comes from a strong semi mental visual impression from the Lord, through the Holy Ghost; after I spent some days in fervent prayer on this matter. We should always trust the Spirit over what any many says, which is the Arm of flesh we have been warned against, to lean upon.

What if Brigham Young never received the mantle of the Priesthood and Authority to be President of the Church, let alone Prophet, Seer and Revelator.  See Brigham Young’s personal Journals.  On a second note, Brigham supposedly sounding, etc. like Joseph Smith.  None of the Leadership of the Church and members present at this happening, make any note of it; most of the evidence of this was from journal accounts and no accounts were recorded until many years latter of the incident. Nothing from contemporary journals of the time mention the incident. There were even members who were not there at the time saying they had witnessed it; the event: 8 August 1844 Brigham Young addressed the Saints on the topic of who should succeed Joseph Smith

What if the Lord had rejected the Church, because of the Saints lack of faith, pride and unholy behavior.  See D & C 124: and below 124: D & C 84:
 31 But I command you, all ye my saints, to build a house unto me; and I grant unto you a sufficient time to build a house unto me; and during this time your baptisms shall be acceptable unto me.
32 But behold, at the end of this appointment your baptisms for your dead shall not be acceptable unto me; and if you do not these things at the end of the appointment ye shall be rejected as a church, with your dead, saith the Lord your God.
44 If ye labor with all your might, I will consecrate that spot that it shall be made holy.
45 And if my people will hearken unto my voice, and unto the voice of my servants whom I have appointed to lead my people, behold, verily I say unto you, they shall not be moved out of their place.
46 But if they will not hearken to my voice, nor unto the voice of these men whom I have appointed, they shall not be blest, because they pollute mine holy grounds, and mine holy ordinances, and charters, and my holy words which I give unto them.
47 And it shall come to pass that if you build a house unto my name, and do not do the things that I say, I will not perform the oath which I make unto you, neither fulfil the promises which ye expect at my hands, saith the Lord.
48 For instead of blessings, ye, by your own works, bring cursings, wrath, indignation, and judgments upon your own heads, by your follies, and by all your abominations, which you practice before me, saith the Lord.

D & C 84: 52 And whoso receiveth not my voice is not acquainted with my voice, and is not of me. (One sees the same comment in Lectures on Faith and in John 10:27)
53 And by this you may know the righteous from the wicked, and that the whole world groaneth under sin and darkness even now.
54 And your minds in times past have been darkened because of unbelief, and because you have treated lightly the things you have received—
55 Which vanity and unbelief have brought the whole church under condemnation.
56 And this condemnation resteth upon the children of Zion, even all.
57 And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them, not only to say, but to do according to that which I have written

What if tithing today, was not meant to be as it is.  See D & C 119 and JST Genesis 14:39.   In the 1828 Webster’s Dictionary; interest means; 5 Any Surplus Advantage.   Below JST Genesis 14: 39, we see more evidence of no need for the poor to pay a tithe; in Mosiah 18: 27.
D & C 119:
3 And this shall be the beginning of the tithing of my people.
4 And after that, those who have thus been tithed shall pay one-tenth of all their interest annually; and this shall be a standing law unto them forever, for my holy priesthood, saith the Lord.
5 Verily I say unto you, it shall come to pass that all those who gather unto the land of Zion shall be tithed of their surplus properties, and shall observe this law, or they shall not be found worthy to abide among you.

JST Genesis 14: 39 Wherefore, Abram paid unto him tithes of all that he had, of all the riches which he possessed, which God had given him more than that which he had need.

Mosiah 18:
27 And again Alma commanded that the people of the church should impart of their substance, every one according to that which he had; if he have more abundantly he should impart more abundantly; and of him that had but little, but little should be required; and to him that had not should be given.

I have my own account on this matter, that took place some time ago; on what was correct. I had no money to pay a tithe, it was between buying food, meds and payments to keep our cars and or home.  I kept petitioning the Lord over the matter and he kept telling me, don’t worry about it; you are paid in full my son; It was not until I discovered the above verses did I understand. The Lord kept trying to assure me things were ok, but I was not fully convinced, because of decades of indoctrination of false truths

What if set up the Church structure and Priesthood is not what Joseph set up and what the Lord intended; but know would happen.

What if Joseph never taught polygamy as it was established after his death.

What if the form of the Godhead, as we are taught today, was never what Joseph, nor what God revealed.    See Lectures on faith, Chapter 5. The Godhead is not made up of God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost; with the Father being like Christ and Christ like the Father and the Holy Ghost being a Spirit who has a role, so yet, has not taken a body.  God the Father does not have a body like Christ, it

Lectures on Faith, Joseph Smith, Chapter 5
: 2 There are two personages who constitute the great, matchless, governing and supreme power over all things—by whom all things were created and made, that are created and made, whether visible or invisible: whether in heaven, on earth, or in the earth, under the earth, or throughout the immensity of space—They are the Father and the Son: The Father being a personage of spirit, glory and power: possessing all perfection and fulness: The Son, who was in the bosom of the Father, a personage of tabernacle, made, or fashioned like unto man, or being in the form and likeness of man, or, rather, man was formed after his likeness, and in his image;—he is also the express image and likeness of the personage of the Father: possessing all the fulness of the Father, or, the same fulness with the Father; being begotten of him, and was ordained from before the foundation of the world to be a propitiation for the sins of all those who should believe on his name, and is called the Son because of the flesh —and descended in suffering below that which man can suffer, or, in other words, suffered greater sufferings, and was exposed to more powerful contradictions than any man can be. But notwithstanding all this, he kept the law of God, and remained without sin: Showing thereby that it is in the power of man to keep the law and remain also without sin. And also, that by him a righteous judgment might come upon all flesh, and that all who walk not in the law of God, may justly be condemned by the law, and have no excuse for their sins. And he being the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth, and having overcome, received a fulness of the glory of the Father—possessing the same mind with the Father, which mind is the Holy Spirit, that bears record of the Father and the Son, and these three are one, or in other words, these three constitute the great, matchless, governing and supreme power over all things: by whom all things were created and made, that were created and made: and these three constitute the Godhead, and are one: The Father and the Son possessing the same mind, the same wisdom, glory, power and fulness: Filling all in all—the Son being filled with the fulness of the Mind, glory and power, or, in other words, the Spirit, glory and power of the Father—possessing all knowledge and glory, and the same kingdom: sitting at the right hand of power, in the express image and likeness of the Father—a Mediator for man—being filled with the fulness of the Mind of the Father, or, in other words, the Spirit of the Father: which Spirit is shed forth upon all who believe on his name and keep his commandments: and all those who keep his commandments shall grow up from grace to grace, and become heirs of the heavenly kingdom, and joint heirs with Jesus Christ; possessing the same mind, being transformed into the same image or likeness, even the express image of him who fills all in all: being filled with the fulness of his glory, and become one in him, even as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one.

Joseph Smith: ““I have tried for a number of years to get the minds of the Saints prepared to receive the things of God; but we frequently see some of them, after suffering all they have for the work of God, will fly to pieces like glass as soon as anything comes that is contrary to their traditions: they cannot stand the fire at all. How many will be able to abide a celestial law, and go through and receive their exaltation, I am unable to say, as many are called, but few are chosen.”  (DHC 6: 184-185; see also D&C 121: 40.)

The Lord is gathering his sheep, do you hear him; the Lord has said, my sheep know my voice, those who do not, are my sheep. (Lectures on Faith) We also have John 10;
 27; My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

 I testify that Christ is calling his sheep out of Babylon, to restart the failed full Restoration of the Gospel;  that began to fail even before Joseph’s death; to begin the gathering of Israel, but do you hear his voice, and think it is not, because the ideas may be contrary to accepted LDS Church policy and Doctrine at present; but what if those truths are in harmony with what Joseph Smith originally taught, as well as the Book of Mormon; if you are unsure then one needs to pray, ask God and research.

Many are called, but few are chosen; why, because they follow what men says, over what the Lord is trying to tell them.  We are received further into the Lord presence, when we listen to him over what we hear from the world; Abraham, Nephi and others well knew that; in their trials of Faith.
